When the much-anticipated 2024 Ford Ranger was unveiled, there was no word of a Tremor model. On the other hand, a leaked order book says that a cut like that could be coming soon. It could be the perfect truck for people who want more off-road power but want to spend less on full-fledged Raptors. The information came from the Rangers 6G forums, where a user leaked a copy of a “Body Builders Layout Book” that had information about the future Ranger. It looks like a paper that Ford sent to third-party coachbuilders who wanted to improve the Ranger platform. This information must be out there before the trucks come out, leaving Ford open to hacks like this. The leaked story says that a Ranger Tremor trim is coming for sure. It may be added. FX4-equipped vehicles are listed above. FX4 levels usually have mild upgrades like strong pull hooks and skid plates for severe off-road use. The story says the Tremor will also have a 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 engine with 315 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque. So, it will have less power than the Ranger Raptor, which has a 3.0-liter V6 engine and 405 horsepower, and 430 lb-ft of torque. The tire will be a 285/70 R17 all-terrain, which should be a good choice for smoothing out bumps off-road. Also, the ride height is a few inches higher than on regular crew cab cars that don’t have Tremor. The claims made here should, of course, be taken lightly, like another leak. On the other hand, Ford probably has some Tremor trim for the Ranger Only. Only some customers want the Raptor’s full-throttle thrill. Still, there is always room for a Ranger that can go off-road better and has cheaper engine choices.
