The 2024 Chevy Corvette now costs more because prices went up across the board in the middle of the year. Ordering a new Corvette now costs $2100 more, which includes a hefty fee for getting it to your home. The base Stingray now costs $69,995, $10,000 more than the 2020 Corvette. The cost of things is going up because of inflation. Because of this, the cost of (really) nice racing cars is increasing. For example, in the middle of the year, the price of the 2024 Chevy Corvette went up by $2100 for each new model. Corvettes cost a lot of money In addition to raising the MSRP by $2,000, Chevy has increased the destination cost by $100, from $1595 to $1695. The GM Authority first told the story. We called the company today to find out why prices went up in the middle of the year, but we have yet to hear back. Price-wise, the 2024 Corvette range cost more when it first came out than the previous year. This is normal for automakers to do at the start of a new model year. After the most recent price hike, ’24 models are now thousands of dollars more expensive. For instance, the base price of a Z06 has increased to $114,395, which is $5,100 higher than it was in 2023. The new hybrid all-wheel-drive E-Ray used to cost $104,495 when it first came out, but now it costs $106,595. Adding an extra $10,000 When Chevrolet first put the 2020 C8 Corvette on the market, the base Stingray model cost $59,995. After that, the price went up every year by $1,000, $2300, and $5900. After four model years, the base price of the base Vette has gone up by $10,000. One great thing about the C8 is that it is a great deal compared to other models in the same class. If you want to compare prices, the incredible Porsche 718 Cayman (which costs $69,950 right now) has always been less expensive than the American sports car. Of course, size can’t be switched, and the Cayman with four cylinders makes a lot less power.
