To celebrate the release of its new small luxury SUV, the Ton ale, Alfa Romeo, asked us to Milan for a tour of the Museo Steric Alfa Romeo, which is in the same neighbourhood as the company’s design headquarters. This is where we learned that Alfa Romeo planned, built, or looked into several crossovers and SUVs decades before the Stevie and Tonal. A high-riding three-row crossover, off-roaders built to military specifications, and even an “artistic” minivan were among these vehicles.

These cars were kept in the vast off-exhibit storage rooms, where the interesting Tamale concept with its stinger-like tail is kept.
