The C8 Corvette is the first car in the brand’s long history to be built with right-hand drive as standard. Because of this, fans in Europe and Japan were interested in the C8 Stingray and the C8 Z06. A WebCG story said every C8 Z06 going to Japan would have the same colour scheme and trim package. Yoshiaki Uehara and Satoshi Nakano of GM Japan told the media about the Japan-spec Z06 when they talked to the press. The story says that every C8 Corvette Z06 that GM Japan orders will be a 3LZ coupe with a red interior and a black exterior. All of the cars will have red brake callipers and black wheels. This is to keep the colour scheme uniform. When the track-focused Z07 kit comes out, customers won’t be able to buy it, and the maker thinks it will be challenging to put those parts on later. Executives say that this mix, which goes well with the car, is now the most popular among people who buy a Z06 in the United States. This is a problem with making things. But the Japanese standards were based on something other than what people liked to wear. Uehara said that if people outside the U.S. could use the Z06 configuration the same way we can, the cars might not be made. Since there is so much desire for the Z06, GM has needed help getting C8s to customers throughout the entire production cycle of the car. Also, the unique centre-exit exhaust system on Z06 cars sold in Japan will no longer be available. This is because the country has stricter rules about pollution and noise, which the trumpet-style straight pipes on the Z06 won’t meet. The horsepower output will be lower since the cars use the same corner exit system as the regular Stingray. Compared to US-spec cars, which have 670 horsepower, these engines can only make 636 horsepower. That should be enough to beat any JDM goodie on any of Japan’s great tracks.
