If you like the look of pickup truck cabs, I have a truck for you, but I want to avoid the annoying bed that sticks out the back. Even though it doesn’t have a bed, this 1998 Chevy 1500 extended cab is now for sale on Facebook Market. It also has a shorter length, and the back axle is now behind the back seat in the cab. It looks like a Chevy 1500 with a short wheelbase and seems like a fast way to spend a long time in a hospital bed.

The people selling the truck took apart the bed, took off the cab ladder, and moved the back axle several feet forward. It now looks like a Chevy hatchback with a very tall roof. The best part of this listing’s description is when it says, “Frame broke, so this is what you get,” as if it were the only choice. Most people think that the motor and transmission work well.

It’s hard to tell how well this change was made, but the amount of rust and sharp metal edges and corners make me want to get a tetanus shot just by looking at it. Even if it runs and drives like the maker said it would, it is still dangerous for a few reasons.

That chassis’s handling will be flawed because it wasn’t made with such a short length in mind. It could also become fast with a potent V8, rear-wheel drive, and a short distance. Also, since the original vehicle had a bed on the back, the rear bulkhead is not meant to be hit straight from behind. So, if you’re driving this Chevy 1500 shortly and someone hits you from behind, it will be a bad day.

The price of this truck isn’t too bad. If the seller wants $2,000 for the item, you will likely be able to get a lower price. It’s only half of a car. Even though it’s not the weirdest car I’ve ever seen on the Marketplace, I don’t know why anyone would buy it just for fun. If you do, ensure you have enough life insurance and that all of your shots are current.
