Because Porsche has made it easier to connect to Apple CarPlay, my Porsche functions now work immediately with the Apple app. With the Porsche app and Apple CarPlay, users can change things like music profiles, climate control, and ambient lighting. The updated software is now available for the Porsche Cayenne and will soon be added to other cars. Porsche users can now use Apple CarPlay more. Porsche has updated the software for its My Porsche app to make it work better with Apple CarPlay. This shows how much owners like third-party software like CarPlay over official maker systems. Users can now make changes to things that used to be handled only by software from the manufacturer. This means you can directly change your car’s interior lighting, climate control, and sound sets from the Apple CarPlay menus. The extra capabilities can also be integrated into new “wellness modes” such as Relax, Warmup, and Refresh using CarPlay. The most exciting thing about the update is using voice commands and Siri to change the sound or the temperature. The improved level of unity comes after Porsche made a similar change in May. Porsche enabled Taycan’s built-in version of Apple Maps to find EV chargers in that update. Users can now use Apple Maps instead of the Porsche version that comes standard to check things like the vehicle’s state of charge (SOC), predicted traffic conditions, and average speed. The owner can turn on the new feature by reading a QR code in the PCM (Porsche Communication Manager). The free updated software for the brand-new Cayenne SUV is now available. Porsche says that the improved version will be added to more cars.
