• At last weekend’s 24 Hours of Le Mans, Cadillac showed off a new pair of limited-edition V-series Blackwings.
  • The CT4-V Blackwing Petit Pataud Edition honors Cadillac’s second race car in 1950, and the CT5-V Blackwing Le Monstre Edition honors the 1950 race car with the same name.
  • Cadillac plans to make only 50 Petit Pataud cars and 101 Le Monstre cars, which means that only a limited number of each type will be produced.

The event itself is the best place to show off your new pair of sports cars based on Le Mans cars. Not at all. Because of this, Cadillac showed off its newest Cadillac V-series Blackwing Collector Series cars to the public on Friday, June 14, during the 101st Le Mans race. The limited-edition CT4-V Blackwing is based on the Petit Pataud, which was the sister car to the famous Le Monstre racer from 1950. The CT5-V is also one of a kind.

At Le Mans, the 2025 Cadillac V-Series Blackwing Special Editions will debut

It starts with introducing Le Monstre and Petit Pataud

The outsides of both Blackwings get the same visual upgrades. The matte Magnus Metal Frost finish makes the Stormhawk Blue Carbon Fiber and Royal Blue brake calipers stand out. You can choose between Sky Cool Gray or Jet Black inserts and Phantom Blue leather details on the new interior, which takes the blue theme even further. These new Caddys are part of the Collectors Series and come with special 3-D printed shifter medallions and a numbered B-pillar plaque. The color scheme is finished off with unique blue sill plates that are based on tradition.

You can be sure that neither model is failing, even though there have been no big changes. It has a 3.6-liter V-6 twin-turbo engine that makes 472 horsepower and 445 pound-feet of torque. These are sent to the back wheels. We can get a test car with a manual transmission to 60 mph in less than 4 seconds. It has the best handling and chassis dynamics in its class. The 6.2-liter V-8 engine in the CT5-V Blackwing is boosted. The big car can go from 0 to 60 mph in 3.6 seconds thanks to its turbocharged V-8 engine with 668 horsepower. It also sounds great.

These limited-edition Cadillacs honor the company’s range from the 1950 Le Mans race. The first Cadillac that was entered was given the name “Le Monstre” by local fans, and the designers were thrilled to find out that Le Mans rules let drivers change the bodies of regular cars. The younger car, which local fans also gave a name to, was called “Petit Patoud” and had a more standard coupe shape. These new species won’t be as well-known as the ones they’re named after, but we still think they’re beautiful.

Cadillac has yet to say how much either model costs or how to buy it, but if they still need to, we expect them to sell out quickly. The CT5-V Le Monstre will only be made in 101 pieces, one for each year that the famous event takes place. Cadillac is only going to make 50 CT4-V Petit Patauds, which will make them even more special in honor of the company’s first Le Mans entry in 1950.
