• Hyundai has shown off the Elantra for the U.S. market. It was first shown off in February for the Korean market.
  • The Elantra’s front fenders, headlights, front grille, and wheel shapes have all been changed.
  • New door panels, different interior color choices, and more USB-C charging ports have been added to the interior.

Even though the current version of the Hyundai Elantra got a lot of attention when it came out in 2021, a redesign is already in the works. Hyundai showed off an updated car called the Avante for the Korean market. This is a close look at the 2024 Elantra, expected to come to the U.S. later this year.

The facelifted Elantra looks better now that the headlights are different, the front grille is thinner, and the wheels are other. Also, the shape of the back bumper is more assertive, and the taillights look a bit different. Even though there are no apparent changes to the inside, the Elantra could get tweaks to the infotainment system and new features as standard.

Hyundai won’t make significant changes to the Elantra’s engines by 2024. The 2.0-liter inline-four, hybrid, and turbocharged 1.6-liter inline-four engines that are available now should stay. Even though it might not come out until a few months after the regular Elantra, the high-performance Elantra N, with its powerful 286-hp 2.0-liter turbo-four, will likely get the same new look for 2024. As of the 2022 model year, the 1.6T engine in the N Line price level no longer comes with a six-speed manual transmission. The only version of the Elantra with a manual transmission is the Elantra N.

As Hyundai prepares to sell the 2024 Elantra in the United States in the coming months, we can probably expect to learn more about it. We hope to have it on our land by the end of the year.
