• At the Tokyo Japan Mobility Show in 2023, Mitsubishi wants to show off a wide range of off-road concept cars.
  • Before the show, the Japanese car company gives us sneak peeks at an electric crossover prototype that looks like a new Delica van.
  • No matter the idea, it doesn’t look like a manufactured version will appear in North America soon. Currently, you can only get the Delica D:5 in Asian countries.

While the 2023 Japan Mobility Show is coming up, car companies are starting to tease their show cars. This year, Mitsubishi wants to show off a lot of different off-road idea cars. As a buildup, the car company showed off a model of an electric crossover.

There are few details

There isn’t much to see in the teaser because the ideal car makes a lot of noise. The things we can see lead us to think that this is a newer model, Delica. Mitsubishi says the idea is a hybrid electric crossover MPV that handles like an SUV but is more comfortable and valuable than an MPV.

The idea only goes into a few details. The idea from Mitsubishi says it has a high ground clearance, but we’ll have to take their word for it since it still needs to be shown. There are rumors that it comes with big tires and an electric all-wheel-drive system.

Different mitsubishi news

Along with the MPV concept, Mitsubishi showed off a dull Last Mile Mobility car that they worked on with LIFEHUB Inc. The Company says the Last 1 Mile Mobility idea uses an electric car’s battery to make it easier to get around once the car has reached its location.

There are only a few weeks left until the 2023 Japan Mobility Show. Ideas cars will likely be shown during press days on October 25 and 26. From October 28 to November 5, anyone can go to the show.
