While we wait for companies to understand and make really cheap EVs, sales are probably the next best thing. Also, car companies like Kia and Polestar are trying to get rid of EVs by offering competitive prices that are thousands less than MSRP now that summer is here. Cars Direct says that the 2024 Kia EV6 is now selling for less than it ever has been, which is a savings of over $13,000 on the electric SUV. There is a catch, though: as part of Kia’s VIN Summer Sticker Sales Event, any Kia EV6 model that would-be buyers are interested in must be one of the vehicles that VIN has picked as eligible.

The program gives buyers of certain VIN-matched Kia EV6s an extra $1,500 until July 8. The sale started on May 10 and is still going on. The reward can be used with a $7,500 cash incentive for customers to bring the price down by a total of $9,000. People who would rather buy an EV6 than hire one can also get a $500 loyalty bonus that can lower the price even more, all the way down to $9,500. The EV6 starts at $43,975, but the latest discount might be able to bring the price down to $34,475—as long as the VIN is qualified, of course.

Before the update, you can get a Kia EV6 for more than $13,000 less

If you want to buy an EV6 or lease one, incentives in California, Oregon, and Washington may make the offer more attractive. You can save up to $10,800 with a 24-month loan. The MSRP savings go up to $12,800 when the VIN and reward bonuses are added together. Cars Direct says that the best deals are on the Kia EV AWD GT-Line cars. However, the top-of-the-line EV6 GT, which has already gotten huge discounts, was missing from the list.

Kia doesn’t tell dealers exactly what kinds of cars can get the VIN bonus, so your range may be different. It’s kind of like a VIN lottery; the price can drop by $9,500 to $12,800 based on whether you buy or lease. Also, the discounts might be less than the program’s highest allowed amount since the amounts shown above depend only on VIN.

Different 2024 Kia EV6 models have battery ranges that range from 218 to 310 miles. The Light Short Range trim is the first one. In case you were asking, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 is very similar to the EV6, but it doesn’t have any similar incentives right now. The Kia EV6 is still the car to have if you’re looking for deals, and now is a great time to buy if you don’t like how the 2025 looks now.
