• The 2026 Corvette’s interior underwent many changes. For example, Chevy removed the wall of keys between the seats.
  • The dashboard now includes three screens, featuring a larger 12.7-inch center touchscreen and a new 6.6-inch display to the left of the steering wheel.
  • All 2026 Corvette models (Stingray, E-Ray, Z06, and ZR1) feature these updates, along with new interior color options and an optional electrochromic glass roof.

Throughout 40,000 miles in a long-term C8 Corvette, there was consistently something standing between this writer and their partner sitting in the passenger seat. Disagreements flared over obeying speed limits or tailing slower drivers in the left lane, but the real culprit was always the car’s overwhelming wall of buttons. With the redesigned interior of the 2026 Chevrolet Corvette, that issue is now a thing of the past.

Chevy, Take Down This Wall! 2026 Corvettes Feature an Overhauled Interior

No More Walls, only More Screens

Then where did all those buttons go? The settings for the heated and cooled seats have been moved to the touchscreen. The HVAC switchgear is now on the edge of the screen below the centre screen. That’s not ideal, but you can’t choose if you want a 2026 Corvette. At least the actual volume knob is still there, though it’s bigger than it used to be. That’s a win.

Chevy made the screen bigger than Corvette drivers saw when the wall of buttons fell apart. After being 8.0 inches, the touchscreen in the middle is now 12.7 inches, and the digital gauge cluster has grown from 12.0 inches to 14.0 inches. Thanks to a new Android-based operating system that comes with Google software, the second one now lets you use all of Google’s popular apps. Before, the onboard Performance app was only available on the hybrid all-wheel-drive E-Ray. Now, it’s available on all cars, which increases the tech deck and lets everyone keep an eye on things like g-forces and acceleration times.

But there’s more. The new 6.6-inch tablet is to the left of the steering wheel, which is cut in half. You can play around with the car’s traction-management system, change the head-up display, and see how many miles you’ve driven. All owners of the 2026 Corvette now have access to the new PTM Pro drive mode. Traction control and ESC are turned off, but ABS is still working, and the E-Ray’s unique front-axle motion is still possible. It basically takes away the training wheels for anyone who wants to show what they can do.

There are some changes to the way the centre console is laid out.    The rotary drive-mode knob has been replaced by a toggle switch, which shares room with the gear selector. The wall with the buttons was taken away to make room for a grab handle, which will become your passenger’s new best friend if you try out PTM Pro. Chevy also put a wireless charging pad under the main screen, complete with a cover to keep your phone from turning into a dangerous moving object. Now that the cupholders don’t have their sliding cover, we can only hope that they are bigger than before and better able to hold coffee travel cups. Chevy says that the higher trims now have ambient lights and real metal lining.

Chevy has announced new colour options for the 2026 interior changes. One of these is called “Very Dark Atmosphere.” That person should get some help from the government. Let’s move forward. Corvettes now have a red racing driver’s seat and a black passenger seat that are the same as those in a Ferrari F80. The Corvette can also have a new electrochromic glass top that can be made more or less opaque.

Chevy talked about a few other new options for the 2026 Corvette range, but it hasn’t said everything, like how much they’ll cost or when they’ll be available. The ZTK Performance package on the ZR1 includes upgraded brakes, and both the E-Ray and Z06 now feature blue brake calipers to match the ZR1. There are six-pot units in the back and ten-piston callipers up front with carbon-ceramic rotors the size of dinner plates.
