• Chrysler is going to release a lot of new products over the next few years. The first one will be an electric SUV in 2025.
  • It’s a modified Jeep Wagoneer S with Chrysler badges and a unique look. It’s said to be built on the STLA Large chassis.
  • The company plans to make changes to the Pacifica and Pacifica Hybrid minivans in the future. Based on the Halcyon idea, an electric car could be made.

Since the 300 full-size car was taken off the market last year, Chrysler has become almost entirely a niche brand. The minivan Pacifica is still selling well, but the company is working hard to bring the name back to life, and we now know more about their plan.

Chrysler CEO Christine Feuell told the reporters that the brand had not been invested in for a long time when the stunning Halcyon concept car made its appearance. “When I joined in 2021, we set out to develop a product and technology road map to revitalize the future of Chrysler.”

Chrysler says an electric SUV will be available in 2025 and gives Pacifica plans

As the company sells off its 300 cars, dealers are left with only the Pacifica. But Chrysler has said that an electric SUV will be added to the range in 2025, so dealers may not have to wait too long for new cars to arrive.

The company will show off a new, not-yet-released SUV instead of the small Airflow SUV. It should be about the same size as the new Jeep Wagoneer S and be based on Stellantis’ STLA Large frame. The Airflow idea, which was based on the STLA Medium chassis, had two electric motors that could power it for at least 350 miles.

“We have a really healthy cadence of new product development and launches starting with the battery electric vehicle launching in 2025,” Feuell told Automobile News. “We’ll have a Pacifica refresh coming and then some more new vehicles launching in quick succession after that.”

The plan to roll out the new cars is very interesting, and we can’t wait to see what the company has in store. The next car will be a smaller SUV with the Airflow name on it. Since the company has sold sedans in the past, an EV with four doors, like the Halcyon idea, might make sense.

“Look, I’d always love to have more and faster, but I can tell you that we’ve not only grown sales, but we’ve also improved the profitability of the brand significantly over the last two years, and that is helping to fund the new product development that you’ll see going forward,” he stated.

In 2023, more than 120,000 Pacifica minivans were given new homes in North America. There were 43,000 Kia Carnivals sold, almost 66,000 Toyota Siennas, and about 75,000 Honda Odysseys sold during the same period.

So, it shouldn’t be a surprise that the company wants to keep the Pacifica in its lineup, even though the van needs to be updated. Officials at Chrysler have said that the minivan will be remade once the electric SUV comes out. The Chrysler Pacifica plug-in hybrid will definitely stay, and the company says sales will rise by 66% by 2023. There may even be an all-electric car in the future.

There’s a lot of hope for the car,” Feuell said. “I think we just need to get a new perspective on what it can be.” “This is a segment that Chrysler created, and I’m looking forward to re-creating what the segment could be in the future.”

Chrysler had said before that by 2028, every model would be electric. However, the recent drop in desire for electric vehicles may have made company leaders rethink that promise. A plan that uses both electric vehicles and gas-electric hybrids is likely to stay in place for a while.
