When it comes out in 2024, the Porsche Cayenne S E-Hybrid will continue to electrify Porsche’s bigger SUV. The S E-Hybrid, which comes as a standard SUV or a sleek Coupe, fits right in between the high-performance Turbo E-Hybrid and the Cayenne E-Hybrid.

A 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 and an electric motor combine to give this mid-level plug-in Cayenne 512 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque. Each V6 has 348 horsepower, and the electric motor adds another 174 horsepower. The Turbo E-Hybrid has 729 horsepower, while the Cayenne E-Hybrid isn’t a S only has 463 horsepower.

A larger 25.9 kWh battery can be charged up to 11 kW, meaning a Level 2 charger can fully charge it in about 2 1/2 hours. Porsche says the new S E-Hybrid can run the quarter mile in 13 seconds and hit 60 mph in 4.4 seconds, 0.1 seconds faster than the twin-turbo V8 Cayenne S without a hybrid drivetrain. A 20-inch set of Cayenne S alloy wheels and four tailpipes are also sporty improvements. Other usual features include a two-chamber, two-valve air suspension that can be adjusted. Porsche also brags about “additional functions in the My Porsche app,” such as the ability to do car-related tasks without ever leaving Apple CarPlay. One of the last significant changes to the interior is a new air quality system that may clear out particles and dangerous chemicals. The optional front-passenger screen will also be able to play videos.

You won’t have to wait long if you want to say something. Porsche is taking pre-orders for the Cayenne S E-Hybrid right now, and stores should start getting them in the spring. The Coupe version costs $105,650, while the standard version costs $100,750.

Even though I’m sure the hybrid drivetrain, standard air suspension, and improved CarPlay are all great, the plum and gold upholstery will be the thing that sells this car the most.
