The next Nismo performance version won’t scare off people who don’t like the boxy front end of the new 2024 Nissan Z coupe. In this latest teaser, Formula Drift winner Chris Forsberg shows that the front end gets a small change. The drifter gets relatively sideways in what looks to be a fully unveiled Nissan Z Nismo performance trim, with the promise of more information to come. For its next Nismo coupe, Nissan has only made a 45-second preview video. Forsberg puts on his helmet, gets in the car, and shows us how much rubber it can tear up. The words “Z Nismo: Coming Soon” are shown at the movie’s end. Based on the video, it could be more precise what performance changes will be made. Still, it follows in the footsteps of its predecessor. In that case, the new model should have better suspension tuning, branded strut tower bracing, upgraded brakes, and a slight increase in power, like 15 to 25 horsepower. The new grille opening is more prominent overall and smaller from top to bottom for a sleeker look. It’s unclear if the new bumper will be used on all Z models or just Nismo models, but it looks better than the squared-off opening on the current base model. The Nismo also has new red trim on the lower body, a more aggressive rear bumper, a front splitter, and side skirts. Only the bodywork and a minor spoiler on the trunk were changed to improve airflow. It’s similar to the other rendering we paid for.
