Toyota released a new version of the C-HR, which marked the beginning of a new era for small crossovers in Europe. It comes with three different hybrid powertrains, one of which is a new plug-in hybrid. Toyota has decided to stop making the C-HR after the 2022 model year, so the new C-HR will not be sold in the United States. Toyota has changed the C-HR subcompact crossover in every way for the next version. The new vehicle looks just like Toyota’s December Prologue concept car. The actual car has 20-inch wheels and taillights that look more useful than those on the concept, but many of the crazy design choices, like the two-tone paint job, are still there. After the 2022 model year, the C-HR will no longer be sold in the United States, and this new model will only be offered in Europe. There will be three hybrid engine choices for the new C-HR. At the bottom of the line-up will be a 1.8-liter gas-powered hybrid with only front-wheel drive. A 2.0-liter hybrid engine will be more powerful and offer front- or all-wheel drive. On top is a brand-new plug-in hybrid setup with a 2.0-liter gas engine. These engines have been taken straight from the Prius. The 2.0-liter versions have much more power than the old model. The plug-in hybrid Prius Prime has 220 hp, while the typical 2.0-liter Prius hybrid in the US only has 194 hp. The C-HR PHEV should have about the same electric-only range as the Prius Prime, which is 39 miles. The inside of the most recent age has changed just as much as the outside. Behind the steering wheel, a new digital gauge panel with a 12.3-inch screen has been put in. Next to the gauge cluster is a centre touchscreen that can be 8.0 or 12.3 inches. The new entertainment system can connect to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto wirelessly and has a virtual helper. The new technology might show details about nearby charging stations and the range of EVs. Toyota will release the new car in several limited-edition versions. The GR Sport edition will be the most well-known of these. The GR model has 20-inch metal wheels, a G-mesh grille, GR logos on the outside, and headrests with GR logos on them.
