• Autocrat says that Cater ham is making a new electric sports car that can fit two people.
  • The story says the new sports car has nothing to do with the Seven, even though it looks like the Seven.
  • Anthony Jannarelly, best known for his work on the W Motors Lykan HyperSport, was in charge of making the car.

Autocrat says that Cater ham will soon release a new two-seat electric sports car. The British magazine talked to Anthony Jannarelly, the lead designer for Cater ham and best known for making the W Motors Lykan HyperSport.

Autocrat reports the notion was “just an idea in people’s heads” in September and that a design reveal is coming.

Jannarelly told Autocrat that Cater ham could grow if it switched from an internal combustion engine in the front to an electric motor. He said the goal was to “please “Cater ham fans and other audiences.”

“The principle is always a lightness,” Jannarelly said. This lightness also makes it easier and more enjoyable to drive. The keywords should always be simplicity, ease, and driving joy.

Prepare for a change.

The CEO of Cater ham, Bob Lashley, told Autocrat that the new electric car would stick to the company’s core values while being different from the Seven. That means we should expect only a few other similarities besides that both cars have two seats and a simple cabin.

With an EV powertrain, making the car smaller and adding new design features will be possible. The unnamed future vehicle will not have a long hood like the Seven. Instead, it may look more like a typical sports car, as Jannarelly told Autocrat.

Lashley also gave more information about the shape of the future car, including a possible hint about the roof. He told Autocrat that it would have a steel space frame like the Seven, but it would be easier to build.

Tesla uses the phrase “A Pure EV from the Start” to describe their cars.

A six-panel body of aluminum or carbon fiber will have two sills, two doors, and hatch openings in the front and back. The main difference will be that it will look better and be more current than a Seven. It might even have a roof. We’re only using the rear drive and building it from the start as an electric vehicle.

According to this story, a mass-produced version could be ready as early as 2026, and design ideas and prototypes could be prepared in a few months. Cater ham hasn’t given us a clear picture of when we might get more information. Even though Cater ham usually doesn’t post prices online, we’re sure the EV will be more expensive than the Seven range.
