• In 2025, Alfa Romeo will only have one trim level for each of its three auto lines.
  • The Giulia and Stelvio now come in a new color called Verde Fangio Metallic.
  • It also comes in a special version with Giulia, Stelvio, and Tonale Tributo Italiano.

Early this year, there was a rumor that Carlos Tavares, CEO of Stellantis, was ready to get rid of companies that were having trouble making money and selling their products. Because of best-sellers like the Wrangler and 1500 Truck, Jeep, and Ram are definitely safe names. However, automakers also have brands that could be doing better, such as Alfa Romeo. Alfa has said that for the 2025 model year, there will be a lot fewer trim choices for its three models: the Giulia sedan, the Stelvio SUV, and the Tonale hybrid crossover.

For 2025, Alfa Romeo Blends Models Into A Single Style

In 2024, each car had four different versions. The Giulia and Stelvio lineup had four types: the Sprint, the Ti, the Veloce, and the Competizione. The Tonale lineup had a Speciale model that wasn’t in the Competizione roster. By 2025, each car will only have one unknown version.

The Alfa Romeo lineup has mostly stayed the same. A Tributo Italiano special version will be made for all three models, and the Giulia and Stelvio will now come in a new paint color called Verde Fangio Metallic. More dark trim, red brake calipers, and a rear diffuser are added to both the Giulia and the Stelvio. The Stelvio has 21-inch wheels, while the Giulia has 19-inch wheels. The Tonale has 20-inch wheels, red Brembo brakes, a body kit that matches the color of the car, and two chrome exhaust tips that make it stand out. The hybrid also has metal door sills and a black-painted top.

Inside the special version, there is a lot of leather, a Harman Kardon sound system, an Italian tricolor flag, and the Alfa Romeo Tributo Italiano symbol sewn into the headrest. The Giulia Tributo Italiano also has active suspension, a limited-slip differential, and metal shift paddles.

Since its return in 2017, Alfa Romeo has experienced limited popularity in the United States, with recent sales remaining modest. In 2024, the Tonale, which costs a bit less, was added, but sales only went up by 2% in the first half of the year, to a total of 4777 pieces. The Tonale sold 1615 units, while the Stelvio sold only 1866 units by the end of June, which is 32% less than in 2023. The Stelvio stayed the brand’s best-selling model. This year, 1296 Giulias were sold, which is 29% less than the previous year.

Although little is known about the incoming EVs, Alfa Romeo plans to replace the Giulia and Stelvio with electric vehicles in the coming years. The 2025 Dodge Charger and the Giulia and Stelvio EVs are likely to be built on the same STLA Large base. They could have either an internal combustion engine or an electric drivetrain.
