Ford is happy to sell buyers all kinds of crazy F-150s through the Raptor line, but not everyone wants an off-road car. Ford Performance added two new supercharger packages, the FP700 Bronze Edition, and the FP700 Black Edition, to its line of performance cars on Friday. With these changes, the power of a regular F-150 is almost as high as that of a Raptor R, which has 700 horsepower. From 2021 to 2023, Ford Performance will sell these two choices for F-150s with the XL, XLT, Lariat, and Platinum trims. The extra 5.0-liter V-8 engine is the only thing that limits the package in a big way. With the 3.0 liter Whipple blower, the motor’s power goes up to 700 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque. On the other hand, the Raptor R has a V-8 that comes from the Shelby GT500 and makes 700 horsepower and 640 pound-feet of torque. The customer can choose the body type and bed plan that works best for them. It’s important to remember that neither Pro Power nor an eight-foot bed can be replaced. The package can work with both rear-wheel-drive and four-wheel-drive systems, giving it more freedom in its use. All 50 states can use it, with a three-year guarantee. The blower comes with a three-year/36,000-mile warranty from Ford Performance and is CARB-approved in all 50 states. Both sets also come with graphics on the sides of the car, grilles that have been painted black, fender vents, FPP carpeted mats, and rear lowering springs. As the name suggests, the Ford F-150 FP700 Bronze Edition adds bronze accents to the outside of the truck. These include the artwork on the body sides, the text on the trunk, and the unique set of 22-inch Sinister Bronze wheels we already discussed. On the F-150 FP700 Black Edition, similar features include black 22-inch wheels with black lug nuts, black parts on the front fascia, and dark designs on the tailgate and bedsides. Ford says that for the best results, customers should order their trucks with the Sport Appearance Package. FP700 packages can be used with other Ford Performance parts, like the side-exit sport exhaust and different body upgrades. The MSRP for the Bronze and Black Edition packages for the Ford F-150 FP700 is $12,350. Installation costs at the store are not included. Customers can buy their packages through Ford Performance or a Ford dealer near them.
