The road car’s 5.0-liter Coyote V-8 engine with 500 horsepower, Tremec six-speed manual gearbox, Torsen limited-slip differential, and 3.73 final-drive ratio are used. A Recaro FIA racing seat, quick-release steering wheel, race harness, and other safety measures replaced the factory seats and other interior pieces. Race-ready features include upgraded cooling and oil systems, Borla exhaust, Multimatic dampers, adjustable anti-roll bars, and Brembo brakes. The Dark Horse R boasts flow-formed 19 by 10.5-inch front and 19 by 11-inch rear wheels and Mustang Challenge-specific Michelin race slicks. Very expensive A race car costs more than a Ford Mustang.
