The attractive new 2024 Hyundai Kona is finally coming to the United States, and we know everything there is to know about it. Hyundai has released details about its new Kona, which is more significant than its predecessor and has a new look on the outside and inside.

The Kona Electric will now come with two different sizes of battery packs. The base battery has a capacity of 48.6 kWh, and this model is likely to be cheaper than the previous Kona Electric, which starts at $34,885 and comes with a 64.0-kWh battery pack as standard. This new base model can go 197 miles and is powered by the front wheels by an electric motor with 133 horsepower. The new battery in the 2024 Kona goes up slightly to 64.8 kWh and is said to have a range of 260 miles, which is 2 miles more than the previous model. It has a 201-hp electric motor, which is more powerful.

The gas engine lineup is the same as that of the 2023 Kona. It has a 2.0-liter inline-four engine with 147 horsepower, front-wheel drive, and an automatic transmission that keeps changing speeds. The 1.6-liter turbocharged inline-four engine still makes 190 horsepower in the N Line and Limited trims. Still, it is now paired with a traditional eight-speed automatic transmission instead of the dual-clutch automatic transmission that was used before. There will be no need for an all-wheel drive.

The fold-down back seats of Kona Electric can hold between 19 and 26 cubic feet of things. The trunk can also be used for extra storage. Hyundai also says that the back seat has more room for your legs.

We have yet to learn about the 2024 Kona’s price, official EPA ratings, and complete trim-level information, but we will soon. This summer, you’ll be able to buy the ones that run on gas, and in the fall, you’ll be able to purchase the ones that run on electricity.
