Toyota has announced the price for the Grand Highlander SUV in 2024. Grand Highlander is larger than Highlander. It starts at $44,405; if it has the Hybrid Max engine, it can cost close to $60,000. This summer, the Grand Highlander will be sent to showrooms. How much more will you pay in 2024 for the more extensive interior of the Grand Highlander over the regular Highlander? Not very much at all. The new SUV with three rows of seats costs a little more than its more minor brother. The base price of the Grand Highlander XLE with front-wheel drive is $44,405. This is $1050 more than the base price of the Highlander XLE. Like the Highlander, the Grand Highlander comes with a 2.4-liter inline-four turbocharged engine that makes 265 horsepower as standard. All-wheel drive costs an extra $1600 on the XLE and Limited models, which cost $48,860 but comes standard on the Platinum model, which costs $53,545. A 243-hp hybrid engine can also be added to the XLE and Limited models for an extra $1600. It also comes with front-wheel drive, as usual, and you can choose to have all-wheel drive instead. Toyota says that the combined mileage for the gasoline model is 24 mpg, while the combined mileage for the hybrid model is 36 mpg. The Hybrid Max setup, offered only on the Grand Highlander, is the best. It has a 2.4-liter inline-four turbocharger and an electric motor for 362 horsepower. With a combined EPA estimate of 27 mpg, it falls in the middle of the gas and hybrid versions regarding fuel economy. This all-wheel-drive setup is only offered on the Limited and the Platinum and costs a lot more. The Limited Hybrid Max costs $55,375, and the Platinum Hybrid Max costs $59,460. This is way beyond what the Highlander can do, but three-row SUVs like the Mazda CX-90 and Jeep Grand Cherokee L cost well over $60,000, so it’s not unheard of.
