Kia said the brand-new three-row EV9 SUV will get a high-performance GT model in 2025. We think the EV9 GT’s powertrain will be similar to the 576-hp dual-motor all-wheel-drive system in the Kia EV6 GT. Since the most potent model in 2024 will be the all-wheel-drive EV9 with 379 hp, the GT’s extra 200 hp will significantly improve acceleration. Kia has shared more details about its new midsize SUV with three rows, the EV9, and the upcoming release of a high-performance GT model. In the second half of 2024, the US will sell the Kia EV9. In the first quarter of 2025, the GT version, which is still being worked on, will go on sale. We only know a little about the EV9 GT because we’re just now learning more about the regular EV9. The potent all-wheel-drive dual-motor powertrain of the EV6 GT will be used in the upcoming GT version. The high-po model has a maximum power output of 576 horsepower and a maximum torque of 545 pound-feet. Drivers can access all of the chaos in the GT by pressing a green “GT” button on the steering wheel. When will it be? In 3.2 seconds, the model we tested went from 0 to 60 miles per hour. Since the EV9 GT weighs more, it will, of course, move more slowly. The EV6’s eels’ is a piece of hardware that could be used in the EV5. It can overdrive the outside rear wheel in corners to make the car more agile and give it a more rear-drive feel. The package could also come with adjustable shock absorbers, better brakes, and summer tires like those on the EV6. Even though the EV9 GT will run better than the EV6 GT, it will probably have the same problems. Even though Kia made the car have more power, it still has the same 77.4-kWh battery pack, which gives it an estimated range of 206 miles. So, expect the mighty GT to have the shortest span of the EV9 family. The 2024 EV9 GT-Line has an all-wheel-drive dual-motor powertrain with 379 horsepower and 442 pound-feet of torque, but Kia hasn’t said how far it can go (a 516-pound-f00t burst is available in Boost mode). It has a 99.8-kWh battery, which the EV9 GT will probably use. Since the 2024 Kia EV9 GT price has yet to be set, it will be a while before we know what it will cost.
