• For the 2025 model year, Genesis will offer the GV80 SUV as a coupe.
  • The GV80 Coupe will have the same e-supercharged 3.5-liter V-6 engine as the G90.
  • The 2025 GV80 Coupe and SUV were first shown in Korea. They arrived in the United States the following year after that.

The Genesis GV80 has been on the market for three years. 2025, the GV80 Coupe will be added as a second body style. The GV80 Coupe Concept, which appeared at the 2023 New York Auto Show, showed a roof that slopes slightly faster than the standard GV80. The GV80 Coupe probably won’t have a third-row seat, an option in the standard GV80, but it could be more comfortable.

The G90 sedan’s e-supercharged V-6 with 409 horsepower is now a third engine choice for the GV80 Coupe. In contrast, the basic GV80 will still have a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and an optional 3.5-liter V-6 with two turbochargers. This top-level engine has launch control, a Sport+ drive mode, and a switchable instrument cluster view with extra gauges. The Coupe also has an Active Sound Design feature that makes it sound like “a large-displacement sport coupe’s exhaust,” and the way the brake button works can be changed. Both versions have a suspension managed by electricity and show the road ahead.

For 2025, the GV80 Coupe has upgraded versions of the base GV80’s twin-line headlights and large shield-shaped grille. The Coupe has unique 20- and 22-inch wheels; on both types, the tailpipes are hidden under the back bumper.

Inside, the infotainment screen and digital gauge cluster are combined into a 27-inch display. Genesis also has a crystal gear selector and changes to touch-based climate controls (oh no!). The latest update to the high-end options is heated armrests, and passengers in the back have their 14.6-inch screen.

Genesis continues against the standard grayscale color scheme by giving the GV80 Coupe 15 exterior paint options and the basic GV80 13. The GV80 also comes in two different brown color schemes, and Glacier White is one of five colors you can choose for the inside. The 2025 GV80 series just recently hit the local market. In 2024, American sellers should be able to buy it. Even though the prices haven’t been released yet, the Coupe will cost a few thousand dollars more than the SUV.
