Kia has released prices for the 2025 Niro Hybrid and PHEV, which are similar to last year’s. The plug-in hybrid model’s starting price has increased by $100 to $35,865, while the Niro Hybrid is now $28,365 (an increase of $50). All Niros will have back seatbelt pre-tensioners on or after 2025, and the Cold Weather package will come standard with the top PHEV grade. Most of the time, the price of a new car goes up by at least $1,000 for a new model year. But Kia is doing something different with the 2025 Niro. The price of the subcompact crossover hasn’t moved much from last year. It comes with three engine options: hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and electric. Costs of Niro Hybrid and PHEV Kia has told us how much the hybrid and plug-in hybrid Niros cost, but we haven’t heard anything about the electric Niro yet. Starting at $28,365 for the first one and $35,865 for the second, these numbers show $50 and $100 rises, respectively. The top-of-the-line Niro Hybrid SX Touring now costs $36,675, $40 more than it did before. The PHEV version now costs $42,165, $350 more than it did before. The Niro Hybrid comes in four trims: the base LX, the EX (which starts at $31,165), the EX Touring (which starts at $33,465), and the SX (which starts at $34,365). The prices of those three trim levels are only $50 to $150 more than what they would be for the 2024 model year. The powertrain in each hybrid Niro makes 139 horsepower, and the powertrain in the plug-in type makes 180 horsepower. When fully charged, the PHEV can go about 30 miles on power alone, which is a good range. As of 2025, all Niros have back seatbelt pre-tensioners, and the Cold Weather package is standard on the PHEV. The package comes with both a better PTC heater and heated back seats.
