Because establishing a DC fast charger at a department may be cruel and unusual, state police, sheriffs, and cities may start monitoring the public charging network or employ 80-amp Level 2 chargers for a slower 19.2-kW refill. The Blazer EV PPV has regenerative braking. Police cars require a lot of electricity for their radios, computers, and emergency lights. GM estimates the Blazer EV PPV can travel 20–50 miles per charge if it takes a cop that long to make a report. GM believes extra parts can increase the top speed to 130 mph.
