By the end of 2023, the Ram 1500 TRX as we know it will be gone. Ram made the news on Wednesday morning. They also talked about the TRX Final Edition, a limited-edition run of 4,000 cars, similar to how Dodge stopped the Charger and Challenger production. Before Ram turns the page in December, you’ll have plenty of chances to get your hands on a 702-horsepower supertruck since it will be sold alongside the regular TRX. The adage goes, “Smile because it happened; don’t cry because it’s over.”

Even though the truck with the Hellcat engine came out three years ago, it feels like it was just yesterday. At that time, speed off-road vehicles got a lot more powerful. Even though the Ram 1500’s starting price will go up by $10,000 to $95,490 for the 2024 model year, it will still be much cheaper than the Ford F-150 Raptor R, which costs $110,000. After customers asked for one, Ram was the first company to make a supercharged V8 4×4 car.

Ram clarified that TRX production is ending but that new work is being done. It has yet to be determined if it will run on gas, electricity, or a mix of the two.

Tim Kuniskis, CEO of Ram, said in a news statement that the Ram 1500 TRX “started a big change in off-road performance trucks that will last for years to come.” The time when Ram made fast trucks is ending, but TRX’s story is far from over. We’re excited to offer our loyal performance fans the very special TRX 6.2L Supercharged V8 – Final Edition, but we’ll have more information about it later.

There willn’t be a fully electric TRX anytime soon. Ram is the last of the big three to produce a BEV truck. It has a range-expanding engine is unique to the market and is meant to counteract the use of too many electric parts. But expect it to have a different 6.2-liter machine when it returns.

You’ll need $119,620 to go all-in and get a Final Edition. Delmonico Red, Night Edge Blue, and Harvest Sunrise are that truck’s three new, unique paint colors. It also has wheels that can be locked with bead locks, unique inner stitching, and the latest technology package. Power numbers haven’t changed, but since the truck can already run a quarter-mile in less than 12 seconds, most buyers will not care.
