Starting July 17 in India, the prices of all of Tata Motors‘ car models, including electric and gas-powered ones, will increase. Some cars whose prices have increased by an average of 0.6% are the Nexon, the Harrier, the Altroz, and the Tigor. According to the company, this price hike was necessary because of the effects of past supply cost frictions. The company says that customers who book their cars before July 16 and get them by July 31 will be okay with the price increase. The automaker’s sales numbers were just made public. During the first quarter of FY 2023-24, it sold 2,31,248 cars in the U.S. and abroad. During the second quarter of FY 2023-24, it sold 2,26,245 vehicles in the U.S. and abroad. Twenty-one thousand nine hundred seventy-two units were sold in the fiscal year’s first half. Starting in 2025, it hopes to release at least one new electric vehicle (EV) every two years. The Tata Nexon EV has sold a certain number of units. In India, more than 50,000 Nexon EVs have been sold. The company says that the electric car has always been one of the most popular types, making up 15% of all Nexon sales. It is now sold in more than 500 Indian towns.
