It’s hard to make scenes in movies that look real. Everyone has become a frame-by-frame watcher. Roger Ebert, judging how possible a stunt in a film is to happen. People laugh at artists who don’t do their tricks. If this sounds like you, you’ll be glad to hear that the new John Wick action movie doesn’t fit that description.

A well-known drifter and rallycross driver named Tanner Foust was brought in to help make the car scenes in John Wick: Chapter 4 more realistic. Foust talked about his time on the set in a recent chat with Top Gear. It was also found that the well-known actor and car expert Keanu Reeves made all his driving moves, which may not have surprised anyone.

In an interview with Top Gear, Foust said that driving a car wasn’t the most crucial part of his job. Because I had to put on the wig and beard and do the stunts at least once, it was already recorded. But I trained Keanu for four months.” But I trained Keanu for four months in Berlin while he wasn’t in a fight. Also, he had seen a lot of driving movies and knew a lot about it. He also rides a motorbike, and people who drive motorcycles learn to go faster.

In the most recent John Wick movie, Keanu can be seen driving a beautiful 1971 Plymouth Barracuda around the Arc de Triumphed in Paris. Keanu had to go against four lanes of traffic at 40 mph without checking his blind spots and boldly merge. The director, Chad Stahelski, says it was one of the hardest to make.

The 30 more stunt drivers on the scene are yelling over the teams’ radios in “three or four different languages” the whole time so that they can work together. Stahelski’s heart raced at the thought of a critical actor pulling off this trick.

Remember that Keanu has already done things on his own. Since the first John Wick movie, he’s done most of his stunts, whether with a gun, a car, or a brutal punch.

And everyone, including the famous Tanner Foust, thinks he did a great job.

Foust said that Keanu was a great driver while they were shooting—all of this he had to do while holding a gun and sometimes reloading it while moving. The movie crew took the chance to show him doing everything by taking off the windshield and doors.

Foust said that Reeves was “definitely the best of any actor” he had worked with before, and he gave him an 8 out of 10 for his drifting skills.

Keanu’s real-life experience with cars and motorsports and his preparation helped him during shooting. By knowing when to stop pushing himself too hard, Reeves gave his acting team and those working on his movie a sense of safety.

Foust says that what helps is that he used to ride motorbikes, where he learned not to let the front wheel slide. You’re good to go if you already know how to do that with cars.
