The 2025 Ram 1500 will look different and come with two new engine choices. It used to have two Hemi V-8 engines, but now it has two Hurricane twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six engines. The top-of-the-line 2025 gas-only model is the new Tungsten version, which was first seen on the Ram 1500 REV. Fans of the Ram 1500 who also like the classic Hemi V-8 are likely to only have one circle in their Venn diagram. Unfortunately, the company said today that the 2025 Ram 1500 will not have a V-8 choice. For the most recent model year, there are some small changes to the outside and inside, as well as big changes to the engine area. Making changes to the engine to fit the times The car market is changing, and Ram is rethinking some of its goods, just like many other automakers. Because of this, there are fewer and fewer half-ton pickup trucks with loud V-8 engines. That means that the Ram 1500 will no longer have the 5.7-liter Hemi V-8 engine choice. The Pentastar V-6 engine will still be the base engine for the truck as it moves on to the next phase. Two inline-six engines will be offered as options. Both the Grand Wagoneer and the Jeep Wagoneer have the same engine, the Hurricane, which makes 420 or 510 horsepower. In its base form, the 3.0-liter inline-six twin-turbo engine makes 420 horsepower and 469 pound-feet of torque. In its high-output form, the engine makes 540 horsepower and 521 pound-feet of torque. Ram says that the extra 30 horsepower comes from the engine speed being a little faster than in the Jeep Grand Wagoneer. All three come with an eight-speed automatic gear, no matter which engine you choose. The most weight that can be carried has stayed at 2,300 pounds, but the vehicle can now pull up to 11,580 pounds. The 2024 cars with the 5.7-liter Hemi can now pull up to 11,750 pounds instead of 12,750 pounds. The car looks different, with its headlights that sparkle The front of the 2025 trucks looks very different from the ones they replaced. A few of their old trim pieces have been taken off, and the hood has been made a little longer. On Limited trim levels and up, the new LED headlights come standard. Ram also has an extra “Adaptive Front Lighting System (AFS)” headlight kit that has two projector lights that can move up to 15 degrees when the driver turns the steering wheel. The motorized tailgate, which is managed by a key fob, makes the back of the truck more useful. Depending on the model level, the inside of the truck has changed almost completely. When you choose the Big Horn or Lone Star trim, the dashboard, doors, and panel all get new laser engravings. The seats also get unique embossing. A new real wood finish with open pores is added to the Limited Longhorn. The basic cloth and vinyl seats in the Rebel get a red-and-black mesh insert. In 2025 1500, the Uconnect 5 system will be driven by a new 14.5-inch touchscreen or an improved 12.0-inch touchscreen in the middle. There is also a new 10.3-inch screen for the passenger that shows views from the outside camera and has features like device control and navigation. The RHO is set to arrive in late 2024 Ram also said that a new truck called the Ram 1500 RHO would be ready in the third quarter of 2024, along with the regular 1500 models. That truck won’t have a Hellcat’s loud 6.2-liter Hemi V-8, but it will be a lot like the new TRX. It’s not going to be called a TRX because it will have a high-output Hurricane engine with 540 horsepower. It will have all the real off-road gear that made the truck with the V-8 engine such a beast, though. Prices will be made public closer to the release date of the 2025 range, which is likely to be in the middle of the following year. In the fourth quarter of 2024, the electric Ram REV will go on sale. Then, in 2025, the 663-hp Ramcharger plug-in hybrid will join the Ram range to complete it. The RHO is set to start working in the third quarter.
