The Chrysler 300 is being phased out this year, so in April, they started making the 300C Special Edition for the 2,200 people who got one in the last few hours before they were all gone. Chrysler will only have one type left by the end of the year. Before the first electric SUV with the Chrysler name comes out in 2025, the brand will only have the Chrysler Pacifica minivan for over a year.

What will happen to that poor, lonely minivan, and how can Chrysler stay in the game? People who want to buy a Pacifica can choose between a plug-in hybrid and a regular engine. A model made to be a calm, safe place for autistic people who may find car rides uncomfortable is a unique feature. Chrysler made the Calm Cabin package to help people feel less anxious. It has a light and sound machine, a customizable cushion and seat belt cover, and a seat back organiser. It is now available, and the automaker worked with local groups of the Autism Society to teach the 2,400 dealers that they needed to market cars differently to people with autism.

Chrysler is adding the Road Tripper package, and in a few years, most likely in 2026, there will be a big mid-cycle update. CEO of the Chrysler brand Chris Feuell says it will have more features, better technology, and a new look to keep people interested until it becomes an all-electric minivan.

Change the platform of the Chrysler Pacifica to the STLA Large.

Ralph Gilles, who is in charge of design at Stellantis, says that the next minivan will be built on the new STLA Large base, improving everything, from how it looks to how it drives. The ground can work with a flat floor with the batteries in the floor, but it is also flexible enough to work with powertrains that use internal combustion engines, like the current plug-in hybrid Pacifica.

Feuell says there is no rush to get a battery-powered Pacifica because plug-in hybrids are selling well. The PHEV has a total range of 532 miles and an electric range of 32 miles, improving constantly. It can also get a tax credit of $7,500. Feuell says that it makes no sense to put the new Hurricane I-6 gas engine in the rebuilt minivan from the point of view of the combustion engine. Engineers will keep the powertrains that are already in use and update them to improve their performance until they are no longer needed. The CEO has not said if the next minivan will have more than one engine type.

Improvements in the middle of the cycle and the creation of an electric minivan Planned for 2026, an extensive mid cycle renovation is now being built. And there is still time to start making the designer’s dream car, a minivan that runs on electricity alone. Gilles says, “I adore minivans.” He won’t know how far along the sketches and plans are. You can start anytime, and this is an excellent job for my young, experienced staff.“As time passes, electrification gives us more chances to move landmarks, change the subject, and change how things look. I can start on purpose up to eight years early.

Feuell says that the electric minivan would keep the Pacifica name and distinguish features like sliding doors and Stow ‘Go Seats while adding current features like a trunk that can control the temperature.

Waymo’s Work with Others Leads to Way Mo’s Own Technology

Chrysler’s work with Google’s self-driving company, Waymo, to improve autonomous driving was helpful. Waymo used a group of Pacifica PHEVs from 2016 until the end of April to test its self-driving tech. Waymo now has a bunch of electric Jaguar I-Pace SUVs.

Stellantis is thinking about making new partnerships. Even though the car company knew the partnership with Waymo would stop, it collected and analyzed the data to create its technology, STLA Brain. This was the basis for STLA Smart Cockpit and Autodrive. Feuell says that when the two companies worked together, Stellantis learned much about self-driving technology and how it needs to change. She doesn’t say that Chrysler EVs and Waymo won’t work together in the future.

The minivan called the Pacifica will be made until 2025. Then, a new sizable electric crossover will join it. It will be based on the AirFlow idea. The production model will be shown next year, but Chrysler executives showed dealers the future crossover to show that exciting changes are coming.

Feuell says that we’ll start putting out new goods in 2025, and by 2028, we’ll have a whole new portfolio. 2025 a more significant three-row electric crossover will emerge after the massive two-row Chrysler crossover. Stellantis has platforms for different sizes of crossovers, so there may be smaller SUVs. By 2028, the minivan could be the last type made. Feuell needs to say how many cars there are.

Is there going to be another Chrysler sedan?

Will Chrysler need a car, or will it only make minivans and crossovers under its brand? Dodge already has a significant share of the car market. Since the auto market has been shrinking for ten years, it might not make sense for a second brand to invest in a smaller piece of the pie. On the other hand, Feuell says that Chrysler is open to all ideas and will keep watching the market.

Each of Atlantis CEO Carlos Tavares’s 14 brands has a logo. According to Feuell, the Dodge logo means “pure performance,” the Jeep logo means “exploration,” the Ram logo means “work and capability,” and the Chrysler logo means “harmony in motion.” It shows how the user interacts with and uses the vehicle’s technology, such as making purchases without any hassle, using materials that are good for the environment, and connecting to other devices easily.
