Some people are worried that Alfa Romeo’s long-term plans to switch to all-electric cars will destroy the beautiful image of the famous Italian company. The company is happy to celebrate internal combustion with new, unique versions of the Stelvio and Giulia for the 2024 model year. Only 130 SUVs and sedans in the Quadrifoglio Carbon Edition will be made, and they will only be sold in North America. The suggested retail price, which includes delivery charges, for the Giulia is $86,470, while the starting price for the Stelvio is $93,870. The model will only come in Vulcano Black, Alfa Red, or Rosso Etna, and the first deliveries are due this quarter. The most noticeable difference in the Carbon Edition cars is how they look. The “V scudetto” head and mirror caps made of carbon fiber are the most essential parts. Of course, the black logos, carbon fiber side sills, and gold brakes on the dark five-hole wheels make up for it. The front and back of the unique edition cars are different, and the hood has vents that make it move. Giulia cars also have a carbon fiber roof that can be seen. Alfa Romeo’s 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 engine will still power the Carbon Edition cars. It has 505 horsepower and 443 pound-feet of torque, making it the most potent factory engine in the brand’s history. The top speed of the Giulia car is 191 mph, while the maximum speed of the Stelvio SUV is 173 mph. Because of changes to the Euro 7 rules, the engine should be able to run for a few more years. Alfa’s adaptive suspension will come standard on all of the cars. In the old Quadrifoglio cars, you could only choose black seats, but the new ones have red sports seats that make them stand out. The center panel, the doors, and the dashboard are also made of carbon fiber. A Harmon Kardon premium sound system is one of the extras, and the Active Assist Plus Driver option package, which includes lane-keeping help and alerts to make sure the driver is paying attention, is standard. The Carbon Edition models aren’t anything special, but it’s great to see Alfa Romeo make improvements to the already great cars it sells. The Giulia will likely be around for a while, and fans should be glad they can still buy the sporty vehicle. The fact that people are interested in the Stelvio is just a plus. You’ll need to move fast to get a Carbon Edition model because there aren’t many. You should call your agent right now.
