• In Anthony Jannarelly’s Art Machines line, the Ælla-60 is a French vintage sports car that focuses on being pure and simple.
  • Based on the Ferrari 360 Modena, the Ælla-60 enhances its 3.6-liter V-8 engine to deliver 473 horsepower, channeled through a six-speed manual transmission.
  • Only 60 units are set for construction beginning in 2026, each carrying a price tag of nearly $900,000.

Even though there are big screens, AI voice assistants, and hands-free drive technologies, the world of sports cars and supercars wants things to go back to the way they were. With its naturally aspirated V-12 engine, six-speed manual gearbox, and sleek design, Gordon Murray’s T.50 is one of the most beautiful hypercars we’ve seen in recent years. Some companies have started making big changes to old cars instead of making brand-new ones. For example, Touring Superleggera’s Veloce12 is built on a Ferrari 550. A new machine on the market is the Ælla-60 from Art Machines by Anthony Jannarelly.

It's A Lightweight Ferrari Sports Car With A Manual Drive Called The Ælla-60

While the name is long and hard to say, the style is great. The curved lines look like 1960s sports cars, which makes sense given the work of artist Anthony Jannarelly. The Frenchman used ideas from his 2016 creation of the Jannarelly Design-1, a retro sports car when he took over Caterham with the 2023 Project V design. Also, Jannarelly wrote a lot of the script for the W Motors Lykan Hypersport, which made the famous jump between the Abu Dhabi skyscrapers in Fast and Furious 7.

There are parts of a Ferrari 360 Modena in the Ælla-60 that make it look sleek. Even though Art Machines doesn’t say it, it talks about a “sports car from the 1990s.” The naturally aspirated 3.6-liter V-8 engine in the middle, which is paired with a six-speed manual gearbox, is another clear sign.

Art Machines says it has a 473-horsepower engine and weighs about 2,491 pounds when it’s empty. Reports say that the Ælla-60 can hit 62 mph in 3.5 seconds. The Ælla-60 is fun to drive because it has a strong engine, a clutch that was made by hand, and a low curb weight. Even though it looks old, the house is said to have modern conveniences like air conditioning and a phone line.

The 60 cars will be assembled by the Italian company Podium Advanced Technologies. This company has helped make supercars like the SCG 004S and restaurant models like the Lancia Delta Futurista. The price of this pure driving experience is ridiculously high at $895,380, and it won’t be made until 2026.
