• Today, the company said that the Genesis GV60 Magma will be made in 2025.
  • The GV60 Magma, the first production model of Genesis’ new speed subbrand, was shown off earlier this year.
  • The Hyundai Ioniq 5 N’s engine should have more than 641 horsepower. It is likely tuned for the 2026 Genesis GV60 Magma.

We knew the electric crossover was going to be made when Genesis showed off the more powerful GV60 Magma before the March New York car show. We now know for sure when the production will start. Genesis announced today that they will start making the fast GV60 Magma in 2025. In the third quarter of next year, the first models will go on sale in Korea. In the fourth quarter, models will go on sale in Europe. When will the 2026 Genesis GV60 Magma go on sale in the US? It should be in the first half of 2025.

It's official: the 2026 Genesis GV60 Magma will start being made next year

The GV60, Genesis’s first car under its new performance subbrand, was shown off at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed. In the end, the company will treat the rest of its assets like Magma. The Electrified G80 concept car will also be at Goodwood, but Genesis hasn’t released any pictures of it yet.

According to Genesis, the idea will look a lot like the real GV60 Magma. It will have a bigger body, a lower ride height, and changed frame and engine parts. The second one has the same E-GMP frame as the 641-hp Hyundai Ioniq 5 N and is likely to have a dual-motor system like that car. The fast GV60 is expected to have more than 641 horsepower, which puts Genesis ahead of Hyundai in the business rankings.
