After the 2023 model year, Kia will stop making the Stinger, but only after making a particular version to honor the fast hatchback. A few months ago, we first heard about the Stinger Tribute Edition. Now that we’ve seen one at the 2023 New York Auto Show, we know more about it. The $1500 Tribute Edition has several visually appealing upgrades, which we explain in the photos below. It is only available in the GT2 trim level, which has a 3.3-liter V-6 engine with twin turbos, making 368 horsepower. The Kia Tribute Edition comes in two exterior color’s: Ascot Green and the matte-grey paint shown above, which is only available on the special-edition model. The 2018 model year was the first time the Stinger was sold in the United States. The 2022 model year has some changes. The Tribute Edition also comes with a set of black wheels that are 19 inches in diameter and black brake calipers with the Brembo logo on them. Another change to the look of the Tribute Edition is the addition of gloss-black mirror caps. The front headrests have an embroidered wasp design to match the Stinger brand. These door sill plates have the “Stinger” logo and a unique script that says “Tribute.” The leather on the inside of the Stinger has been changed to a terracotta brown that goes well with the grey exterior. The Tribute Edition will only be available in 1,000 copies worldwide, and only about 500 copies will be sent to the United States. The Tribute Edition option also has carbon-fibred trim on the inside. The all-wheel-drive Stinger GT2 shown here starts at $57,000.
