Talking about one-of-a-kind cars can get boring very fast. We all enjoy fantasizing about cars we’ll probably never own, but our excitement fades when we learn that the car company is making an endless number of special editions. Maserati’s newest one-of-a-kind design, the GranCabrio Folgore Tignanello, has kept its shine.

Luxury car buyers like the Maserati GranCabrio Folgore Tignanello's unique characteristics

Unlike most one-of-a-kind cars, which are based on the past of the car company, the new Maserati is based on Tignanello, an Italian wine that the Marchesi Antinori family has made for almost 600 years. When you look at the Tignanello, you can see where the idea came from.

Maserati is called the beautiful red color that covers the outside of Terra di Tignanello. The winemaker says the color is “reminiscent of the central red shades of Tignanello’s characteristic barriques” (barrels) and was inspired by the soil on the farm. The shiny black brake calipers are hidden by the matte black wheels. The copper badge color makes it stand out from the other colors on the outside.

The GranCabrio Folgore Tignanello’s interior is a testament to luxury and craftsmanship. The brown leather lining, with its silver and burgundy ribbed weave, is a striking feature. The use of Vegea, a leather substitute derived from vineyards, adds a unique touch. The center dashboard plaque, honoring the first and most recent Tignanello vintages, and the laser-etched black briar wood, reminiscent of the oak barrels from the vineyard, further enhance the interior’s appeal.

Like the base model, the GranCabrio Folgore Tignanello has all-wheel drive and three electric motors that make a total of 818 horsepower. An 83.0-kWh battery pack powers the batteries. An 800-volt setup can charge up to 270 kilowatts of DC quickly. The article says that the GranCabrio can go up to 233 miles on a single charge.
