Maruti Suzuki, India’s biggest automaker, said that production levels will decrease slightly in June 2023. Even though there were problems, the company was able to reduce the effects of the lack of electrical components by taking specific steps. Production numbers show that Maruti Suzuki made 133,798 passenger cars in June 2023. This number includes utility vehicles and sub-segment models. In contrast, the number of units produced in June 2022 was 140,748. This shows a slight drop. In June 2023, 14,646 units were made in the Mini sub-segment, which includes well-known models like the Alto and S-Presso. This is slightly less than the 20,145 units produced the same month the previous year. In the same way, the number of cars made in the Compact sub-segment, which includes the Baleno, Celerio, Dzire, Ignis, Swift, and WagonR, dropped from 81,021 in June 2022 to 71,578 in June 2023. In June 2023, 86,224 models in the Mini + Compact sub-segment were made, less than the 101,166 units produced in June 2022. The Ciaz model, in the mid-size class, made 2,694 units in June 2023, a big jump from the 1,519 units produced in the same month the year before. Maruti Suzuki made 88,918 passenger cars in June 2023, a bit less than the 102,685 cars they made in June 2022. In utility vehicles, which include well-known models like the Brezza, Ertiga, Fronx, Jimny, S-Cross, and XL6, Maruti Suzuki made 35,128 units in June 2023. This was a big jump from June 2022, when the company only produced 28,002 units. In June 2023, 9,752 Eeco vans were made, less than the 10,061 vans made in June 2022.When passenger cars and light business vehicles were added, Maruti Suzuki made 137,133 units in June 2023. This slightly dropped from June 2022, when they made 144,409 units. The slight drop in production was blamed on a shortage of electronic parts worldwide, which hurt the car industry.
