McLaren introduced the GTS, a new model that is a GT with a different look. The twin-turbo 4.0-liter V-8 engine in the 2025 McLaren GTS now has 626 horsepower, which is 14 more than it had before. You can also choose from new wheel styles, internal trim, and colors. Because McLaren rarely changes its carefully planned recipe for a supercar, the GT’s name change to GTS in 2025 is a big change. The car’s goal is still to deliver incredible speed while adding a few more high-end features compared to the sportier 750S, even with its new name. To do this, it gets new interior trim choices, a makeover, and more power from its 4.0-liter V-8 twin-turbo engine. The V-8 engine in the new GTS makes 465 pound-feet of torque and 626 horsepower, which is 14 horsepower more than the GT. McLaren says that the new car is 22 pounds lighter than the old one, which allows it to perform slightly better. The first GT hit 60 mph in 2.8 seconds in our tests so that this one will be even faster. A 3.1-second run to 60 mph is what the company says it can do. The GTS has a new front bumper and some small changes to the rear panels that make the already good-looking GT look even better. You can also get more gloss-black trim and new wheel choices, like the beautiful 10-spoke “turbine” wheels shown above. People can now choose from Mantis Green, Tanzanite Blue, Ice White, and Lava Gray. McLaren says that the bigger front air intakes and reworked rear end let more air into the radiator and engine, which supports the real benefits of the changes to the way the car looks. The small trunk and the back luggage area that was surprisingly big are still there. McLaren says that the front axle-lift system is now better, which lets the nose of the car rise much faster than before. Aliline leather and Alcantara are new materials on the inside, and the seats have new stitching. McLaren hasn’t said how much the GTS will cost yet, but the company has said that sales will start in 2024. It should start well over $210,000 because it is much better than the GT.
