Have the prices of new cars gone through the roof? Low stock could be caused by a natural disaster or a problem with getting parts at a store near you. It would be almost easier to take someone else’s car. We’re not telling you to steal someone else’s car unless you’re playing the computer game Grand Theft Auto, but many of your less honest neighbors break the law and steal other people’s cars every day. For the rest of us, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has made a list of the most popular new vehicles based on the number of covered cases. This list is based on information from almost 40 insurers nationwide, including State Farm, Geico, and Farmers.

These late-model cars, trucks, and SUVs (from 2020 to 2022) are among the top 20 most stolen cars, trucks, and SUVs in the United States. If you own one of these vehicles, you should take extra security measures whenever possible. These were put in order by how often claims were made and the ratio of total theft claims to the number of covered cars.
