The Cadillac Escalade SUV will be offered as an electric car. It will join the Celestia and the Lyriq, the brand’s first electric cars. Even though we don’t know much about it, an automaker’s hint just told us a little more. It is called an Escalade IQ. The truck will be shown to the public for the first time on August 9, and the teaser video shows some interesting features. For example, Celestiq’s entertainment screen that goes from column to column will almost certainly be displayed. It will also look a lot like the Lyriq in some ways, like having a front face that is softly lit up. Power and range will likely be shown at the debut and will be similar to what the GMC Sierra and Silverado EV can do. This adds up to a range of up to 400 miles and more than 500 horsepower. General Motors has known about the electric Escalade for a while, but we have yet to see much of it other than some branding. Now we can see things more clearly. Also, it looks like the Escalade IQ will be able to have the automatically tinting roof of the Celestiq. Also, its big aerodynamic wheels are expected to be as big or bigger than those on Cadillac’s ultra-luxury car. Even though we don’t get a full shot, the back of the car looks a lot like the Lyriq from what we can see. More hints and information will likely come out before the all-electric Escalade IQ comes out in August. You’ll be the first to know when we get more details.
