• Porsche showed the front of the redesigned Cayenne before it debuted at the Shanghai car show next week.
  • The outside and inside of the 2024 Cayenne have both been changed.
  • Some technical changes have been made to a prototype we have already driven as part of the refresh.

The 2024 Porsche Cayenne will officially appear at the Shanghai Motor Show early next week (Monday, April 17, in the US). Even though the reveal is coming up in just a few days, Porsche decided to add one more hint.

The video only shows a small part of the Porsche Cayenne’s mid-cycle update, so it doesn’t show anything surprising. We’ve only seen the headlights through duct tape, but they look much more like the ones on the electric Taycan. The Cayenne has taken on the Macan’s full-width lower front bumper, which was just updated. There should be little change, but Porsche’s larger SUV will be updated to match the rest of the company’s cars.

The technology inside Cayenne’s cabin will be updated in a big way. The analog gauges have been replaced by a curved 12.6-inch screen like the one on the Taycan. Because reaching down three inches to change the radio was so last year, a 10.3-inch touchscreen for the passenger has been added to the 12.3-inch tablet on the dashboard that is part of the Porsche Communication Management system.

However, outside of the 2024 Porsche, the Cayenne only tells half the story. We used a sample earlier this year to understand what would come. All the engines get more power, and a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V-8 replaces the 2.9-liter twin-turbo V-6 in the middle. Porsche experts also changed the tires and suspension. Oh, yes.

Monday at 10:40 p.m. ET, the 2024 Porsche Cayenne will be shown to the world for the first time. Set up your coffee makers right away.
