• On Friday, October 18, Porsche will unveil the newest 911 GT car through a livestream.
  • The company released a teaser picture of the next 992.2-generation model today. It showed the side profile of a dark car with a visible rear wing.
  • Porsche says that both the new GT3 and the new GT3 Touring will be shown at the same time.

Early this year, Porsche showed off the base Carrera model and the GTS with the new T-Hybrid engine, which was a big deal for the 992.2-generation 911. Of course, the 911 range is longer than most NFL teams, so more than 992.2 cars are on the way. The first GT model will be shown for the first time this Friday, October 18, at 12:30 p.m. ET.

Porsche Previews New 911 GT Model Before Its Launch On October 18

Porsche has shared a teaser picture of a 911 sports car’s darkened side profile. Some parts can be seen that give us a taste of what’s to come. For example, the huge rear wing looks like it has a swan-neck shape like the 991.1-generation GT3. A roll bar can be seen clearly through the back window, and the driver is wearing a helmet, which suggests that the car is meant to be used on a racetrack.

Porsche said in a statement that two versions of the new 992.2 model will be released simultaneously, including a teaser picture. Because of this, the cars will probably be the GT3 Touring (without wings) and the GT3 (with wings), both of which we expect to come out in 2027.

Walter Röhrl and Jörg Bergmeister, two brand supporters, and Andreas Preuninger, who is in charge of the GT model line, will show off the new GT model. The broadcast will be on Porsche’s YouTube channel. The business said that the car would give its users “more individuality and feature innovative details.” We will get that information on Friday afternoon. Think carefully.
