• Porsche is exploring the possibility of introducing a new SUV to its lineup, positioning it alongside the Macan EV and the upcoming trio of powertrain options for the Cayenne.
  • Porsche says that the new model will come with both a hybrid and a gasoline-only engine.
  • However, the automaker states that its launch may be expected closer to 2030, so its arrival is still a bit far off.

Porsche wants to add another SUV to its line-up by the end of the decade. 6It’s not the Cayenne EV that will be available later this year. To be honest, it won’t even be an electric car. Interestingly, Porsche says this mysterious new car will have hybrid and gasoline-only powertrains but not an electric one, even though it hasn’t been officially named yet.

Porsche States That It May Develop A New Gasoline-Powered SUV By The Year 2030

The news about Porsche’s yearly financial review conference included hints that a new SUV might be on the way. According to a news report, the sports car manufacturer is presently assessing the possibility of establishing a standalone model line within the SUV category, offering both combustion and hybrid powertrains.

Porsche will offer an all-electric Macan, as well as gasoline and hybrid drivetrain options for the new model and Cayennes with gasoline, hybrid, and battery-electric powertrains.

The company didn’t think it was necessary to say what big the new SUV would be, which is a shame. It could be a whole different car or the three-row K1 that Porsche released in 2022. We won’t find out anything new about the possible new SUV for a while. Porsche says that if it does decide to show off the new model, it won’t be until around 2030.
