• The starting price of the 2024 Kia Seltos has been announced, and it has gone up by more than $1,000.
  • All-wheel drive is standard on the S, X-Line, and SX models but can be added on for an additional $1500 for the S trim or an additional $2200 for the EX.
  • The Seltos line gets a new look on the outside and inside for 2024.

The subcompact Kia Seltos SUV was made to fill a few small holes in the brand’s lineup. Even though the Seltos is more considerable and costs more than the bigger Sportage but smaller and less than the Soul, it doesn’t get called small. For the 2024 model, the LX trim starts at $25,715, more than $1,000 more than the 2023 model.

Prices regularly increase, with the $27,115 EX and the $30,015 X-Line having the most significant jump. The 2.0-liter, 147-hp four-cylinder in the second model has been replaced by a turbocharged, 1.6-liter, four-cylinder engine that has been improved for 2024. Currently, the working mill is making 195 horses, a 20-horsepower increase.

The expected 34 mpg for the 2.0-liter engine in front-wheel-drive models is unlikely to change, but the more powerful 1.6-liter engine may lose some efficiency. All-wheel drive is a choice on the S and EX trims, but it comes standard on the LX, X-Line, and SX trims. It will cost $1500 for the S and $2200 for the EX to add this feature.

For the 2024 model year, the outside and inside of the Seltos have been changed. This includes a new hood and new parts for the outside lights. The entertainment system has also been changed, and the dashboard now has a new panel that can be added if you want. This is both a tablet for entertainment and a set of digital gauges.
