Automotive News reports that Mitsubishi Mirage sales will end in the US. The 2024 Mirage hatchback is one of the cheapest new vehicles in the US at $17,790. The Mirage G4’s conclusion points to the hatchback’s more expensive vehicle version. One more US automobile under $20,000 will be the last. Automotive News reported Wednesday that the Mitsubishi Mirage, which starts at under $18,000, is being phased out. Missing Mirage After manufacture stops in late 2025, the AN story reports that the US would not produce a replacement Mirage subcompact hatchback or Mirage G4 (sedan version). If the timeline is correct, the model name could be used for at least one more model year after 2024, which is already planned. Mitsubishi North America’s Jeremy Barnes still needs to respond to Car and Driver’s request. After the Mirage leaves the US market, locating a new car under $20,000 will be impossible. The Nissan Versa is the cheapest new automobile. The standard 2023 manual gearbox costs just over $17,000. Due to dwindling sales, the Mirage may still be remembered.
