Kia’s 30th anniversary Sportage has hit Korean showrooms. The interior is upholstered in green quilted leather, with 30th-anniversary badges and unique wheels. We’re still in the dark regarding this year’s models, but we can’t wait for them to arrive. Kia’s first U.S.-market vehicle wasn’t the Sportage SUV but the Sephia sedan. The Korean firm has been known by this moniker for quite some time. To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Sportage, Kia produced a limited edition model for the Korean market. We anticipate that the 2024 Sportage will be the first year this package, consisting of unique exterior badging, interior trim, and a few other tweaks, will be available in the United States. Our favourite interior parts are the green quilted leather padding and the black suede edging. The headrests are adorned with “30 Sportage” patches as well. The most noticeable alterations are the car’s new 19-inch wheels and the additional black trim on the front bumper. The vehicle in the photo appears to be painted in the $595 Shadow Matte Gray available on the 2023 Sportage Hybrid. To further commemorate the occasion, Kia has displayed a flawless, first-generation Sportage in its Kia 360 store lobby in Korea. This version was put through its paces in 1998 against a variety of other small SUVs before going on sale in the United States for the 1995 model year. Although we cannot confirm whether or not the Sportage 30th Anniversary Edition will be offered in the United States, we anticipate the release of a product with similar features. The 2024 Sportage is worth keeping an eye on.
