One of the first-named vehicles was the Nissan Skyline. Before Nissan existed, it was released in 1957. World and Skyline have altered since then. The Nissan Skyline may become an electric crossover SUV. Japan’s Best Car magazine believes the Skyline sedan’s growth has “frozen.” Instead, Nissan is developing a 2025 Skyline based on the electric Ariya crossover or its CMF-EV platform. It’s expected to feature more than 450 horsepower and all-wheel drive with two or four motors. Sources claim the Skyline EV will be sold in the U.S. as an Infiniti to show its higher price. Since 2001, US-sold Skylines like the G35, G37, and Q50 have been similar. No performance GT-R was mentioned. Despite its uncertain future, the nameplate is expected to remain a standalone electric car. Nissan wouldn’t be the first SUV maker to employ a famous moniker. Toyota Crown SUVs are coming. Luxury SUVs sell well and go nicely with Crown and Skyline automobiles. Thus, Nissan and Toyota can benefit from market trends and brand prestige. Lovers have a different issue, yet we are noisy. The wealthy will follow the river.
