The Cyberbeast trim level of the Tesla Cybertruck starts at $117,235 right now. The cost increased by $15,000 overnight, due to the introduction of a new required Luxe Package. Prices for the Long Range AWD and RWD have not changed. They are still $72,235 and $82,235, respectively. Automakers raise prices for a number of reasons. When the base model is discontinued, a higher-priced trim level becomes the new entry-level option. There are times when only a car company takes prices into account. In other cases, features that were previously optional are now standard, which means that the base price goes up to reflect this change. According to a Reuters report, this is the reason Tesla raised the price of its three-motor Cybertruck by $15,000. The three-motor Cybertruck, nicknamed the Cyberbeast, has jumped to $117,235 from $102,235 in just one day. Meanwhile, the Long Range all-wheel-drive model stays at $72,235, and the Long Range rear-drive version is $82,235. The Cyberbeast’s mechanical specs haven’t changed. Still, the top trim level now comes with a new Luxe Package that includes Supervised Full Self-Driving, four years of regular maintenance, and free use of Tesla’s Supercharger network. The package also comes with Premium Connectivity, which lets you watch offline in your car. The big price hike comes at a very exciting time for Tesla. The company that makes the Cybertruck doesn’t put out sales numbers for individual models, but records from recalls show that sales were slow in its first two years on the market. One possible reason for the move is that Tesla aims to recoup some of the extra maintenance costs by charging more for “free” upfront, as more car companies join the North American Charging Standard system.
