Later this summer, Lego will release a new model kit of a Corvette from 1961. This is the fourth official version of Lego’s biggest Corvette ever made. The $175 1961 Lego Corvette will be available on August 1. It has over 1200 parts. On Bring a Trailer, you can find a real Chevrolet Corvette from the late 1950s or early 1960s for around $100,000, give or take $40,000. If you don’t mind the smaller size and plastic pieces, you can get a new Lego model that looks like the one from 1961 for $150 later this summer. Even though $150 is a lot for a toy, this kit is made for adults. Also, the new 1210-piece equipment has features that make you feel like Lego is giving you good value for your money. This little cabriolet sports car is 4 inches tall, 12.5 inches long, and 5.5 inches wide. Its main feature is the removable hard top or open top. It is the right size and difficulty level for Lego fans who want to spend less than three weeks building a complicated Technics machine. There are all bright parts, though. The car’s hood shows a tie-rod steering system that works and a cooling fan that spins. There are three steps, a gear shifter, and a steering wheel on the inside. The package comes with three stickers for license plates: one for Michigan, one for California, and one with the Corvette logo. Fans of the Corvette should like the four taillights and the new ducktail style. This kit (#10321) from the Lego Icons line is the fourth official Lego Corvette model. It came out just in time for the 70th anniversary of the Corvette’s launch in 1953. The first one came out in 2016 as part of a Speed Champions package. It came with a 168-piece Z06 model. The second one came out in 2019 with a ZR1-based 600-piece Technic kit. In 2021, Lego made another 500-piece Speed Champions set, but this time it had models of a 1968 Corvette and a C8.R race car. On Bricklink, a place for Lego fans to buy and sell used Lego sets, you can get all three older groups used for $20 to $30. Lego now has two more playsets with classic GM cars if you want to avoid your new Corvette being alone. A Chevrolet Camaro Z28 that costs $170 comprises more than 1500 parts. A NASCAR Camaro ZL1 costs $50 and has about 700 different domains.
