All things automotive are honoured at Goodwood’s Festival of Speed. More automotive manufacturers are racing their latest sports vehicles or displaying exotic concept cars. This year, new race cars, limited-edition supercars, and electric solid cars were unveiled.

EV Sport’s first goal

This 3150-pound, 483-horsepower, rear-wheel-drive electric car’s retro-inspired exterior was designed by Nissan’s global styling chief Shiro Nakamura. The aim is to consider creating a few because it was initially a marketing tool.

Aston Martin Valor

The limited-edition Aston Martin Valour has a 705-horsepower twin-turbo V-12 engine and a six-speed manual gearbox. Aston Martin plans an EV in 2025. The 2021 Victor, a significant design feature, resembles the 1980s V8 Vantage.

Bentley Speed Six Continuation

Bentley will build 12 $2 million Speed Six Continuation Series vehicles. The 1929 and 1930 Le Mans winners Speed Six will return. Bentley made the new automobiles using its collection of late 1920s engineering drawings and a Speed Six. A 6.6-liter inline-six produces 205 horsepower—no more new-old cars.

Caterham DC manages Project V.

Project V advances Caterham’s lightweight, basic racing cars. The electric car boasts a 268-horsepower rear-mounted motor and a 55.0 kWh battery with a 249-mile range. Caterham plans to make them in 2026 and maintain them at 2,623 pounds.

Car KC23 Infiniti.

This unique Ferrari resembles the futuristic Vision Gran Turismo concept car’s clean surfaces and sculpted front end. The 488 GT3 race car-based KC23 has a twin-turbo V-8 engine with 600 horsepower. The happy owner of this unique creation is likely a Ferrari lover who spent millions on it.

Rally Mustang Mach-E

Ford said the off-road EV would be manufactured but provided little details on the revised Mach-E. The photographs reveal the car will sport a Focus RS-style rear spoiler, larger tires, and grille trim fog lights. We should know more when US sales start this fall.

Nissan Ioniq 5

Hyundai led Goodwood debuts. They exhibited a speedier Ioniq 5. The 641-hp N should hit 60 mph in under three seconds. One sound setting on the Ioniq 5 N mimics the Elantra N’s 2.0-liter inline-four engine. Simulated gearshifts make driving fun.

INEOS Quartermaster

The Grenadier 4×4 SUV’s successor, the INEOS Quartermaster pickup truck, may be available in the US. The SUV’s Chevy Colorado-sized bed is powered by the Quartermaster’s 3.0-liter turbo inline-six engine. At Goodwood, INEOS displayed a hydrogen-powered Grenadier prototype with a BMW iX5 drivetrain.

Lambo SC63

Lamborghini displayed their Rolex 24 and Le Man’s entry at Daytona—the SC63. IMSA and World Endurance Championship races will feature the SC63 in 2019. The SC63 faces Ferrari, Porsche, Cadillac, and Acura. The new 3.8-liter V-8 engine incorporates twin turbochargers and a hybrid motor. The race car will have 670 horsepower and look like the company’s road cars.

Maserati Ghibli 334 and Levante V8 Ultima

The last Maseratis with V-8 engines are these two special editions. Both Ultimas’ 3.8-liter twin-turbo engines can exceed 208 mph. Logos and paint treatments vary.

EX4 Concept

At Goodwood, MG displayed the XPower, an all-wheel-drive MG4 hatchback with 429 horsepower. The odd EX4, based on the 1980s Metro 6R4 race vehicle, was also shown. The EX4’s aerodynamic bodywork uses the same XPower arrangement, with a pointed front splitter and long back wing.

Best McMurtry Spéirling.

The Spéirling Pure was released a year after its Goodwood Hill Climb record. One hundred track-only cars were planned. The Spéirling Pure weighs less than 2205 pounds, yet its distinctive fans provide downforce behind the cockpit.

Porsche Vision 357 Speedster

Porsche removed the top of their Vision 357 concept car for this Speedster, built on a 718 GT4 Clubsport frame. The Speedster has 1073-horsepower electric motors from the 718 GT4 ePerformance instead of the GT4 RS engine.

Battista Pininfarina Edizione Farina, Nino

Nino Farina, the grandson of Pininfarina’s founder and the 1950 Formula One winner, inspired this electric hypercar. The five-run vehicles will be Rosso Nino with black, white, and blue highlights and gold wheels.

Singer DLS Turbo Study

Singer demonstrated their new DLS Turbo, a Porsche expert. Porsche 911-based race vehicle DLS Turbo. It resembled the 1970s 934/5 racecars. Its 700-horsepower 3.8-liter flat-six engine includes two turbochargers. The DLS Turbo has a manual machine and a larger carbon fibre body.

Tamiya’s Max

The 1985 Tamiya Wild One remote-control car inspired this giant electric dune buggy. Despite its 37 horsepower and 124-mile range, The Little Car Company’s Wild One is street-legal in Europe.
