Ford showed us the new 2024 Mustang Dark Horse for the first time, along with a set of optional carbon-fiber wheels and a look inside. The thin aluminum wheels weigh 20.1, about 37% less than the standard aluminum wheels on a Dark Horse. Inside the Dark Horse, the Recaro seats are bolstered and stitched in blue, and the shifter has a blue titanium anodized finish. With a pair of carbon fiber dance shoes, the 2024 Ford Mustang looks excellent. Ford said today that when the Dark Horse performance model goes on sale later this year, there will be a choice of carbon wheels. Each light wheel weighs 20,1 pounds, about 37% less than the Dark Horse aluminum wheels. These wheels were made with the help of the Carbon Revolution. They were first used on the GT supercar and the Mustang Shelby GT350R. Carbon Revolution used technology from the aerospace industry to make a plasma arc spray inside the front wheels. This kept the wheels from getting too hot when they were braking. The front and back Trofeo RS performance tires on the reels are 305/30R-19 and 315/30R-19. The Mustang Dark Horse in this picture is also painted with a unique color called Blue Ember, which is said to change colors depending on the light. Ford showed us the Dark Horse’s interior trim, fancy wheels, and unique color for the first time. The dark cabin has different shades of blue and black all over it. The shift boot, door panels, steering wheel, and Recaro performance seats all have bright Indigo Blue stitching. The Dark Horse Appearance package gives the seat backs and seat belts a Deep Indigo Blue finish. This completes the color scheme inside the car. In place of the silver colors found on lower Mustang trim levels, the seatbacks are made of black Dinamica suede, and the bezels and vents on the dashboard have a dark metallic gloss. The three-spoke steering wheel, instrument and door panels, and trim are all carbon fiber. Customers who choose the six-speed manual transmission can change gears with a blue-anodized, one-of-a-kind titanium shift knob. Ford says that the hollow shape of the shift knob keeps it cool when it’s hot outside. Anodized silver paddle shifters are included as a thank-you for choosing the 10-speed automatic transmission. As a finishing touch, the chassis number is shown on a badge on the instrument panel of each Mustang Dark Horse.
